Prints

My photographs are available as individually signed fine art prints. If you would like to inquire about availability and pricing, please contact me at: Alan@AlanSislenPhotography.com.

Each photographic print is created from a photographic digital master, which results in each edition print being virtually identical. All photographs are made with professional Epson printers using archival, pigmented inks. The photographic paper is chosen for its archival properties along with its ability to enhance the aesthetic quality of the actual image. When matted or framed photographs are purchased, those materials are also of archival quality. Each photograph comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, providing all relevant information about the edition, the image, the materials used and the artist.

In the last five years, tremendous progress has been made in the technology of pigmented inks and archival photographic papers. Image longevity and stability now rival, and in many cases exceed more traditional photographic methods. I use materials that generally have an expected life of 100+ years depending on how the prints are matted, framed and displayed.

For the more technically oriented, the Wilhelm Research Institute http://www.wilhelm-research.com/ has done extensive testing of various combinations of archival inks and papers. Be warned, Wilhelm's downloadable book, "The Permanence and Care of Color Photographs: Traditional and Digital Color Prints, Color Negatives, Slides, and Motion Pictures" is 758 pages long! Suffice it to say, Alan pays careful attention to all materials used in the hope that you will display and enjoy his images for decades to come.
